IFÁ MESSAGE FOR A PERSON WHO CASTED ÒGÚNDÁ ỌSẸ

Ifá advises a person who casted Ògúndá Ọsẹ to perform sacrifices because of war. Ifá warns this person to be careful of welcoming  visitors or strangers to his/her house to be living either temporarily or permanently with him/her. 

Ifá says that a person who casted this Ifá corpus just welcomed a guest to his house or life or is planning to do it. For this period, the owner of this Ifá must not welcome a visitor to his house.

A person who casted this Ifá corpus should perform sacrifices of long life in good health and wellness.

Ẹnìkan o mọ ẹsè sìkàsìkà lójú ọ̀nà

Àsé táà bá ń bá ìkà rìn asebí oloriire ni Adifafun Ògún wọn o bi ní òde Ìrè

-Wọn o lọ ree jasi òde Ìmẹ́sẹ́

Adifafun wọn lóde Ìmẹ́sẹ́

Wọn ni kí wọn o rúbọ kí ire o mọ ba se di ibi mọ wọn lọwọ.

Wọn sì gbẹbọ níbẹ̀ wọn rúbọ

Wọn n se oore lẹsẹ lọrùn awo

Níjọ́ tí awo ti d'ayé awo ọ dẹṣẹ

Oore lẹsẹ lọrùn awo.

TRANSLATION

Ògúndásẹ̀ẹ́ doesn't know the legs of the pregnant (person)

Nobody knows the foot print of the wicked on the road

If you are associating with the wicked, you will think he/she is a good person

He would find himself at the City of Imẹsẹ

THE STORY 

Ògún was a native of Ire. He was a great renowned warrior. He had been staying in Ire for several years.

He decided to change his location. He thought of going to the City of Imẹsẹ.

Ògún went to consult. He could become popular and undefeated, nobody greater than him at the City of Imẹsẹ was why he consulted Ifa.

The Ifá Priests advised Ògún to perform sacrifices that he would become popular and victorious at the City of Imẹsẹ. He performed the sacrifices recommended for him.

The people of Imẹsẹ also consulted Ifa.

The Ifá Priests advised them to perform sacrifices for their kindness not to put them into trouble. The Ifá Priests warned them not to welcome any visitors or strangers to their land for certain period of time.

The Ifá Priests prayed for them that they would not witness war in their town. The people Imẹsẹ performed the sacrifices recommended for them but they didn't adhere to the warning of the Ifá Priests. 

Ògún arrived at the City of Imẹsẹ. The people of Imẹsẹ welcomed Ògún to their land and put him in a beautiful house.

One bad morning, Ògún woke up with anger one day and started killing people in the town of Imẹsẹ. 

People of Imẹsẹ were astonished at sudden bad action of Ògún. They went to the Babalawo for Consultation.

The Ifá Priests reminded them that Ifá had warned them against welcoming visitors to their land but they didn't listen. What was happening to them was the consequences of ignoring simple instructions. People of Imẹsẹ asked the Priests for the way out.

The Ifá Priests recommended what they would do to send away Ògún from their land. 

The people of Imẹsẹ performed the sacrifices and gave it to Èṣù Òdàrà. Suddenly, Ògún became uncomfortable at Imẹsẹ.He left Imẹsẹ to his town Ire.

The people of Imẹsẹ became relieved and at peace. They chorused "kindness is a sin for Babalawo, Babalawo are ordinarily not born a sinner. Kindness is a sin for Babalawo." That is, with their love and care toward Ògún, he returned it with wickedness.
