HOW TO THROW KOLANUTS FOR ÒRÌSÀ AND ANCESTORS.
If you want to break kolanuts for Ifá or Òrìsà, you will first break the kolanuts into four pieces/halves.
You will put two pieces at your right hand and two pieces at your left hand.
After that, you will show Ifa or the Òrìsà you’re propitiating your right and left hands by saying “this is my right hand” and “this is my left hand”.
After this, you will say that ” it is ten fingers that enter the mouth of Olójà (Ifá or Òrìsà). After that, you will say,
the Priests inside the house, the Priests outside the house, the Apetebi wives of Orúnmìlà and people who sit down, this is the Kolanuts”.
You will throw the Kolanuts to Ifá or the Òrìsà.
