Can I do OBATALA Initiation for my child?
While we are all gearing up to prepare our children for what’s coming in life and to get them well grounded in spirituality.
There are some things we can’t do or should not do because it might endangered the life of such child or children .
As an adult, once you are Initiated into OBATALA that means you can speak with your OBATALA by yourself or your OLUWO can speak with your OBATALA for you .
In this Life, trust is a currency you hardly find or see anywhere .
If you do Initiation for a child that is yet to speak or talk, how would such child communicate with his / her OBATALA?
That means the OLUWO would have to be making sacrifice to OBATALA on behalf of that child, what if the OLUWO dies, what would happen to the spiritual growth of such child?
What if the OLUWO start behaving funny, what would happen to the spiritual growth of a child whose OBATALA is still with his OLUWO prior to when that child can speak with their OBATALA.
As a parent, you don’t have any right to speak with your child’s OBATALA simply because you are not the OLUWO and because that OBATALA wasn’t for you .
Secrecy and respect is always placed on a high esteem spirituality.
On a final note, if your child is not yet matured, there is no point in doing OBATALA Initiation for such child because of the factors listed above .
To protect such child, the only thing you can do is to make sure that you visit any OBATALA temple and make sacrifices for OBATALA on behalf of your child.
