I once sat alone and asked myself: Why am I here? What force sculpted me into existence?

Like all who walk this fragile realm, I have wrestled endlessly with these questions. And yet, unlike most, people whisper strange things about me. Some swear I can summon spirits from the ancestral vault; a few have even begged me to raise the dead.

But who am I?

Ajé Nlá, son of Ọbatálá, a scholar woven deep into the hidden fabric of Oríṣà and Irúnmọlẹ̀ mysteries.

I do not possess power and I certainly do not hand out power. I simply point seekers toward the forgotten path of their own Orí, their inner divinity. Those who are patient enough, who can sit longer than the dance of the Ọ̀pẹ̀lẹ̀ beads, will find themselves becoming more than they imagined.

After all, even Ilé-Ifẹ̀, cradle of existence, was not founded in a day.

I reflect on my life as a Babaláwo and weigh it not of envy but as a mirror to measure knowledge, practice, and community. And I ask: What truly separates one Babaláwo from another?

Is it mandatory to use Ọ̀pẹ̀lẹ̀?

If I divine without Ọ̀pẹ̀lẹ̀, do I become less of a Babaláwo?

Or do I become something more dangerous? A rebel to tradition?

These are not questions most dare to voice aloud but they burn within us all.

I realized that I carry a duty heavier than ivory: to share what I have uncovered of African spiritual science with those brave enough to listen. Every spare breath I have, I write — to provoke thought, stir spirits, and unearth what many elders have buried under layers of orthodoxy.

My articles have wandered the digital ether for years controversial, yes; spiritual, absolutely; but always illuminating.
