Understand where your strength lies and key into it
I was baptized many moons ago with the water from the sisters of the Moon
I was baptized with the tears of the universe
Ìrẹtẹ̀ Méjì and Ògúndá Méjì, where wisdom and water purification intertwine.
From Odu Ìrẹtẹ̀ Méjì (composite paraphrase):
Ìrẹtẹ̀ kì í ṣèjẹ lójú odò
A dífá fún Ọmọ aráyé tí wọ̀n fẹ́ mọ̀ọ́kàn
Wọ́n ní kí wọ́n lọ sọdò Ọ̀ṣun
Ọ̀ṣun ló ní omi tó mọ
Kí wọ́n bọ sínú omi, kí wọ́n fi ẹ̀mí mọ
Ẹni tó bá wẹ nínú omi Ọ̀ṣun a mọ̀ọ́kàn
A mọ̀ọ́kàn, a mọ̀ọ́jú, a mọ̀ọ́fẹ́
Ẹni tí a bá fi omi Ọ̀ṣun mọ, a mọ̀ọ́rùn Àṣẹ
Translation:
Ìrẹtẹ̀ does not allow impurity before the river.
This was the Ifá cast for the people who desired clarity of mind and wisdom.
They were told to go to the river of Ọ̀ṣun.
Ọ̀ṣun owns the water that purifies.
They should immerse themselves in the water to purify their soul.
Whoever bathes in Ọ̀ṣun’s water will have clarity of mind.
They will have clarity of sight, clarity of love.
One who is washed in Ọ̀ṣun’s water will carry the sweet fragrance of Àṣẹ.
Interpretation:
This verse expresses that through ritual washing (immersion in Ọ̀ṣun’s river), one gains imọ̀-ọkàn (clarity of mind), imọ̀-ọjú (clarity of vision), and alignment with Àṣẹ (spiritual power and wisdom)
I drank from the cup of wisdom and I never sleep again
My eyes were wide open and I saw
I visited the house of wisdom and I was enlightened
They said to me ,
AJE NLA the son of OBATALA why are you writing book anyhow, is it that easy ?
Knowledge Na water
If you are gifted , you are gifted
Don’t you want me to use my gift and strength?
After all a man’s gift will make him stand before great men and not ordinary men.
Ifá verse (paraphrase from Osa Meji tradition)
A dífá fún Olóore
Tí yóò fi ìbá àtàwọn ẹ̀bùn rẹ̀ gbé aráyé ga
Ó ní kó má fi ẹ̀bùn rẹ̀ sílẹ̀
Nítorí ẹ̀bùn ló máa gbé ọmọ ènìyàn ga lójú aráyé
Translation:
Ifá divination was performed for the Generous One,
Who will use his offerings and gifts to uplift himself in the world.
He was advised never to abandon his gifts,
Because it is through gifts that a person is elevated in the sight of others.
I can’t sleep without writing books, my eyes is seeing things I can’t keep to myself
When am awake, my mind is full and disturb with a lot that I needed to write it out .
Knowledge is not distributed equally and everyone has their strength, everyone has their quarters to make.
