Dual Forces in Yoruba Mythology

In some culture and ancients Traditions across the globe, they speak of dual forces taking for instance yin and yang .

Yoruba culture and spirituality also have dual forces which comprises of both male and female or good and bad or whatever.

For ODU to recommended a dual forces for you, you must be destined for greatness or greater purpose in Life.

So don’t asked why am I to make sacrifice to this forces ?

Below are some dusk forces we have in Yoruba spirituality

1. SANGO and OYA – They are both husband and wife , male and female forces and they compliment each other
2. IBEJI – Dual forces with so much power and respect. They may be make and female, two males or two females. They are two and can take on any form.
3. IYAAMI ELEYE and IYAMOPO – The two feminine energy in the universe with IYAAMI ELEYE representing the terrestrial forces while IYAMOPO represent the aquatic forces of feminine energy.

This two or should I say dual forces are not well understood and documented, I hope to write more about them in the future.
