I don’t know why many of the Yoruba people didnt like Ajayi Crowther, whether he is a Christian or not.

His works and books

A vocabulary of Yoruba language

Published in 1852.

Formed the basic of the modern day Yoruba language.

Look at how old that book is.

That book is 173 years old in 2025

He might not have represented the Orisas and also misrepresented *Esu* but despite this his book mentioned above is the basis of what we have left of our Yoruba language.

Ajayi crowther died 31 December 1891.

Araba chief Elebuibon was born in 1947.

56 years apart… (The death of AJAYI CROWTHER and the birth of Araba Elebuibon)

Chief Elebuibon published the adventure of  OBATALA in 1989 when he was 42 years of age.

By calculation, the adventure of OBATALA was published 137 years after the book the vocabulary of Yoruba language (pub 1852) and 90 years after the death of AJAYI CROWTHER .

Controversy:: when Araba Chief was growing up, he must have read a lot of AJAYI CROWTHER books .

Our professor Chief Wande Abimbola was also born on the 24th of December 1932.

41 years after the death of  AJAYI CROWTHER.

Professor Chief Wande Abimbola published IFA : an exposition of IFA literacy corpus in 1976.

124 years after the book the vocabulary of the Yor .

Controversy :: he must have read a lot of AJAYI CROWTHER books.

Ajayi Crowther was portrayed as a bad person recently by some scholars but how many Yoruba books  or ORISA/IFA authors do we know today whose book dated far back as 1852 ???

The answer is that there are no books that has stood the test of times as Ajayi Crowther books.

Or could it be that their work were erased? or not archived?

Small Child like me born in 2023!!! Knows Ajayi Crowther !!!!

How come I know ,have heard of him but I do not know other authors or their
Publications in the Ajayi Crowther era ?

Hypothesis::
Our Elders are the Pioneers of IFA centralizations as their book were published 1975 down ward to present day 2025.

The centralization of IFA started around that time 1975 after Nigeria had her independence in 1960, 15 years after .

1975 to 2024 = 50 years of IFA centralization..

If you think my hypothesis were wrong , kindly provide books on IFA and ORISA which are published as far back as 1860 – 1930.

It’s been a long year of hardwork and am not pushing it down but let us shake the table together .

I have read one or two books from our elders and I don’t think I saw reference in the one I read, but when a baby like me write a book from my dream.

You would be hearing , where is your references.
You are asking me did I copied it .

But when the elders write no one asks them for references 
That means we don’t believe in originality anymore .

Does God distribute talent and power according to age?

I appreciate our elders for their good work but it is time to talk about the IRUNMOLE.

It is good to appreciate ones elders than to speak about them in their back , just like those who are dragging themselves over the death of an artiste who has died few years ago

just like a Yoruba agitator was dragging the death of a former head of state
