This is the type that is done to avert affliction battling with the client or a coming one.
Afflictions are of different folds.
It could be Àrùn ara (Disease or virus), Àrùn owó (lack of money) among others.
The cowry determinant is used for this.
Ẹbọ Àrùn Items are: Rooster, He-goat, Ram, Kola nut, Bitter kola, and Money.
