Mogba Koso is the one who has the authority to crown all the Alaafin’s.

The crowning takes place at Koso inside the main shrine of Sango. 

Mogba Koso is the only high chief in charge of performing the traditional rites by introducing the Alaafin into Sango secrets  and to perform as well the coronation with the  Sango crown, which is inside the main Sango shrine by the dismiss of any Alaafin. 

Mogba Koso is the custodian of the main Sango shrine in Koso.

Koso is a suburban area situated in Oyo under the authority of Mogba Koso.
