Is Eshu and Elegba the same?

Is Eshu and Elegba the same?

Is Eshu and Elegba the same?

ESU is the family name of all Avatar of ESU. As I have discussed in one of my articles, we have more than one ESU.

Just like YEMOJA, we have more than a million of them across all water bodies in the universe , the same thing applied to ESU.

ESU is the general surname of all ESU while Elegba is the Head of the house of all ESU.

Elegba is ESU and he is the the Main Head, controller of all ESU avatar.

The head of the family of all ESU is Elegba.

Yes Elegba is also ESU but not just any ESU but a very Powerful ESU who directs and coordinate the work of other ESU .
Is ESU a human?

Is ESU a human?

Is ESU a human?

Naaaah

ESU is not human .

ESU is an orisa of justice , the real mediator between human beings and other Orisa .

He speaks for us and get us justice anywhere and from whoever is using power over us.

The church and other religion painting ESU evil but ESU is not evil.
Where did Esu come from?

Where did Esu come from?

Where did Esu come from?

ESU came from Heaven .

He was among the first Irumole created by OLODUMARE to come to earth after creation of human beings to come and teach humans the way of Life and how to grow spiritually.

When the ORISA were coming , it was ESU who cleared the path and road for them to get to earth.

ESU was created by OLODUMARE to act as mediator between humans and other Orisa .
Who is Esu in the Bible?

Who is Esu in the Bible?

Who is Esu in the Bible?

ESU was never in the bible . The Satan in the bible was an imaginary character created by the religion to keep people in fear because these religion were power drunk and they don't want to loose that power of controlling people.

Hence they created something to control people.

ESU is not Satan.

ESU is a benefactor and not evil as predicted by other evil religion who thinks they are pure .
Is Esu male or female?

Is Esu male or female?

Is Esu male or female?

All ORISA have the ability to choose the role they want to play ,either a male or a female role which they want to play will depends on the person they want to relate with.

If you imagine ESU to be a woman, then ESU would visit you and play the role of a woman .

When dealing with the orisa it is always advisable not to think of any gender .

Most people actually think of ESU has a man, but I wouldn't want us to limit our creativity to it that ESU is a man. He can be a man and at the same time act as a woman. He has the power to choose and do what he wants.
How do I appease Esu?

How do I appease Esu?

How do I appease Esu?

To feed or appease ESU is a very simple task. It's not what you can do on your own, you would need a babalawo to do it for you.

ESU is a strict ORISA with his own rule, the reason why many times people feed and appease ESU and yet nothing happened is because they didn't do it the right way .

Look for a competent ,loving , straight forward babalawo to do it for you and you will be happy it's done because you will enjoy the result and you will be amazed. I feed ESU for people if you need my service .

When ESU finally pay me a visit - AJE NLA

When ESU finally pay me a visit - AJE NLA

When ESU finally pay me a visit

Spirituality is all about who you know in the spiritual realm. I repeat, spirituality is all about who you know in the spiritual realm. I can say this over and over again if you still haven't gotten the message.

I am an OBATALA, ORUNMILA and OLOKUN son, this trio are my Father. I am not forgetting the role of my Mothers too,  talking of OSUN, OLOSA, YEMOJA, OYA, AGEMO, AGIRA, IYAMOPO, IYAAMI ELEYE. I also want to appreciate my friends SANGO,  OMO ELA, LUKOSI , WARLORDS, THE SPIRIT OF LIGHTS and many more.

In fact the above paragraph is for appreciation.

Being a spiritualist is not all about performing simple task like feeding the Orisa or doing spiritual work for people, you have to be active in the spirit and make your contribution to the development of the spiritual realm.

There were times we go to war, there were times we host a party , there were times we organised a seminar/talk and there are times we go for evangelism.

The result of the spiritual evangelism and awareness is what give birth to the sudden interest everyone is having on Yoruba ,it's culture and IFA at large.

This make me laugh when people who knew nothing about anything start fighting on who owns who or who started what. They are fighting for nothing they knew nothing about.

People with a Christian and Muslim background always thought of ESU as a wicked person, they painted him bad and this has contributed to one of their many problems and that is why I am saying that all those who sees ESU as their enemies  would never see road to their success and they would always be confused.

The above statement is not a curse but a fact for what it is. You cannot fight your helper, you can't fight what you are supposed to love neither can you fight who is supposed to show you road.

I know out of 100 % people who make it in this world , 98.5% uses the help of ESU and other Orisa before getting there.

ESU is not restricted to only Nigeria, Americans and Indians have their own name for ESU. In fact ESU is a worldwide phenomenon.

The remaining 1.5% are made divine from above by OLODUMARE.

So forget that brother who came to church to share testimony, can he boost his chest about it.??

You can browse my blog www.orisa.com.ng and click on ESU archive or search the blog for ESU  .

Let's be back to the major topic.

We are preparing for the night party when suddenly everyone stood still, it was a grand entry.

I saw the man, the person, the Orisa called ESU. A very huge dark figure along with his entourage.

This is not our first meetings though, we have met on many occasions but it's always at a distance  .

To what do I owe this visit?  I am not scared neither am I afraid, am only filled up with grace, happiness and appreciation.

Who am I to have such a wonderful busy Orisa to pay me a visit.

ESU always the loving Orisa and a doubler of anything took our party money, we don't even flick our eye neither do we get angry. We are used to giving and sharing, it is just an act of love and a test of not attaching ourselves to materialism.

Instantly alert started entering my phone, a phone call from unknown or should I say a new client wanting to ask a question,  it doubled the money which ESU took initially.

I knew at an instance, it was ESU who returned and doubled the money back after seeing that we really don't care about anything. Money or no more we still have ourselves to love.

Yaaaaaaaaarn,  I think I have said enough from what happened.

It was a fun night, we all knew ESU is very playful and loving, his heart of full of gold and love.

I am not writing this article as a fiction but to those who are out there and are lost seeking Devine intervention, looking for road. My articles are for you.

My articles are for people who are gifted and think they are alone in the world. You are not alone, you are not the only one with gift and it is not a curse.

My articles are to tell what  I have experienced about Orisa.

Am AJE NLA.

Thank you.

ELEGBAA and ORIKI ELEGBAA

ELEGBAA and ORIKI ELEGBAA

Elagbara is the Oriki name of Esu in the diaspora.

Countries like Brazil, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago called him this name, the question is, is Esu referred to as Elegbaa in the Yorubaland?

Yes, Esu has different kinds of oriki (praises names) but when he is being praised by his devotees he is not addressed as Elegbaa, he is called ALAGBARA which means the POWERFUL PERSON.

So, how did the word "ELEGBAA" formed? Chief FAMA clarified her investigation. See below.

Fama(1993) shares her story when investigating more into Esu in relation to Elegbaa issues.

“I made a trip to Yorubaland, the seat of all Orisa in the world, in September 1992, and interviewed some Babalawo for Clarification of the relationship between Esu and Elegbaa.

The first Babalawo that I contacted was a friend who is an Ifa Minister and very well respected Babalawo in Lagos, Oloye Adeboye Oyesanya who is the Chief Priest of Ijo Orunmila ATO (temple) in Lagos, Nigeria. I asked him who Elegbaa is.

Oloye Adeboye’s reply was concise. He said Elegbaa was one of Esu’s attributive names. He thereafter gave me information about”

Fama continued, “I then moved to Ibadan to interview highly respected Babalawo, Oloye Awopeju Bogunmbe. I posed the same question to him who had visited America in the past. Oloye Bogunmbe’s contact with Orisa worshipers in America enables him to evaluate my question deeply.

He, therefore, went into a long explanation and told me that he too was aware of some confusion in a certain aspect of Yoruba religion in the Diaspora.

One of the confusion according to him is the word Elegbaa.

He explained that Elegbaa is a corrupt pronunciation of the word Alagbara.

He further stated that Alagbara means, “A POWERFUL PERSON” and that Esu being a powerful Orisa, devotees gave him the appellation, Alagbara, which portrays him as a powerful Orisa.

He said brothers and sisters in the diaspora should note that Elegbaa, which proper pronunciation and spelling should be Alagbara is Esu’s appellation and that it is not a different Orisa”.

Consequently, it should be noted by now that Alagbara is the real Pronunciation while Elegbaa is an appellation.

To reinforce this fact below is an Esu Oriki that involves the word Alagbara.

Esu okiri oko
Esu, ota Orisa
Olagbokun
ALAGBARA
Omokunrin dudu ita
Baba kekere
Esu odara omokunrin idofin
O le sonso sori ese elese
A kii lowo lai mu ti Esu kuro
A kii layo lai mu Esu kuro
A kii se ohun rere lai mu ti Esu kuro
Esu mo juba
Esu, ma se mi
Eni ti ko sebo ni ko se

Translation:
Esu, the stone bearer
Esu, Orisa’s avenger
The great fighter
The powerful (ALAGBARA)
The dark-skinned man of the outside
Smallish baba ( small revered man)
Esu Odara from Idolofin town
He that sits himself conspicuously on his victim’s leg
To enjoy one’s wealth, one must give Esu his due
For happiness to last, one must give Esu is due
To hold on to one’s ire, one must give Esu his due
Esu I give reference
Esu, do not undo me
Undo whoever fails to appease and respect you

How many minutes would it take ESU and Jesus to travel round the world?

How many minutes would it take ESU and Jesus to travel round the world?

How many minutes would it take ESU and Jesus to travel round the world?

ESU is not devil I hope you know, the devil in the Bible were created by the Christians to keep their disciples in line..

As a matter if fact ESU should be called the saviour of human race instead if brother Jesus.

ESU is the intermediate and the mediator between man and OLODUMARE.

But we are build up and raised up to believe he is the enemy when he is the real saviour.

ESU goes to heaven and come back to earth within a quarter seconds.

If ESU and Jesus were to run a race and see who will win, I bet it would take eternity for Christ to catch up.

ESU is a traveller of all world of human and creature existence, he can be in a million places at the same time.

Asking whether he can travel round the world in how many minutes is just to get your attention.  He travels the world in seconds and in a day, only he can tell how many million ways he has travels the world in just a day.

You can't do without ESU, if someone somewhere is using Evil Spirit on you, it is ESU that would library you from such person not Jesus.

Am a son of ESU and am proud of that.
Am the son of all the Orisa and I would say it anywhere.

Do you know that we have Many Esu? Get in Here

Do you know that we have Many Esu? Get in Here

Do you know that we have Many Esu? Get in Here

Today is Saturday, the say delegated for Esu.

Don’t forget that Esu is not Satan.

We have written many articles about Esu on www.orisa.com.ng

Today we are taking about Esu.

Just like YEMOJA, we have Many ESU.

Yemoja is a Family name, we have more than 1 million YEMOJA in the Ocean.

The Same way we have more than 5 ESU.

I can’t say categorically how many ESU there is, i cant say that this is the number of ESU we have.

All i know is that we have plenty ESU.

And eqch ESU has their own functions.

ESU is like a surname and that is why each ESU has a surname and its own name. Their various identity name depends on their location and the kind of task assigned to them.

We have ESU at every T-junction, we called this ESU ,ESU ORITA. He is always at every T-junction of every in every localities, state, country and world.
I
I cant tell you the JOB OF ESU ORITA.

We also have ESU LAALU

WE ALSO HAVE ESU ODAARA

WEALSO HAVE LANROYE

Many worshippers don’t really know the difference and they believe they are the same thing but they are not.

They are all Family with one Esu has the head of all ESU.

The relationship between ESU and IFA

The relationship between ESU and IFA

One sometimes sees Esu in the home of Ifa priests and when one asks them why they keep such an image, they  answer that Ifa and Esu are friends.

A close examination of the Ifa literary corpus reveals that Esu sometimes acts as a friend of Ifa and sometimes as a
tempter.

It would also appear that lfa sometimes makes use of the powers of Esu when he wants to do wonderful thinis.

Ellis says that lfa obtained the powers of divination from Esu upon promising to give him the first portion of all offerings.

There is certainly a very close relationship between Ifa and Esu.

A good portion of all the sacrifices made through Ifa to any of the Yoruba gods is given to Esu.

Esu may, there-fore, be regarded as the closest god to Ifa in the Yoruba pantheon.

ESU and foreign religion

ESU and foreign religion

There is no persecution that is greater than the one being melted by the Yoruba's and their ignoramus friends, who lack understanding of the person of Orisa Esu.

He is a successful servant of Olodumare, but equate with an anti God being.

He is loved by those that knows it worth, and love is its way.

They think they are destroying his person, but unaware of the implication in their lives.

Ida ahun ni npa ahun won.
ESU and other names in Yoruba land

ESU and other names in Yoruba land

Prior to the emergence of Christianity and Islam in yorubaland, yoruba's believe that the name to be given to a new born baby have a serious influence in his or her life, and the name is determined by the situation at the home of the childs parent.

Hence, a child that is born into Ifa devotee house is likely to be given a name with ifa as an attachment.

Eg ifaleke, ifamakinde, ifashola and Esu is not an exemption.

 Eg esugbemi, esudele etc.

It would interest you to note that those that are bearing names with Esu do not act delvishly, but am yet to see anyone bearing names with satan or shitan.

ESU shrine and 3 foot path location

ESU shrine and 3 foot path location

ESU shrine and 3 foot path location

Esu is not just an Orisa that can be venerated by anyone , at anywhere, but three foot path is it abode.

Hence, Esu laalu ogiri oko. Onile orita.

In the ancient yorubaland, the worship point of Esu is also called Ojubo- point of feeding Esu.

It is usually at the centre of the town.

For example, the feeding point of Esu in surulere , Lagos is located in an area now called Ojubo Elegbaa bastardized as Ojuelegba, while that of ile ife is at ilare.

Hence, we call Esu at that point Esu Ilare.

Biblical and Qu'ranic satan do not have such.
ESU the creator of town

ESU the creator of town

ESU the creator of town

Esu as encapsulated in holy Odu ose tura.

it is crystal clear that Esu is the single most important Orisa in the establishment of new town in the ancient yorubaland.

He is the one that ensures that Babalawo, Onisegun and adahunse of that town do not get starved.

He is always providing them what to eat.
Symbols of ESU

Symbols of ESU

Symbols of ESU

Esu could be represented with a piece of Stone or “Yangi.”

There are some beautiful sculptures of with braids and cowries on them, too.

Even molded concrete with the “ase” herbs in them could be a symbol of Esu, but they are just symbols.

The same is true for all the Orisas, the concept of Esu is far more than the symbols.

lt is in the Spirits and Faith.
Baby names for ESU worshippers

Baby names for ESU worshippers

Baby bed for ESU worshippers

Esu is a very good Orisa like others.

The devotees of Esu bear names like

Esuyemi,

Esukayode,

Esubunmi,

Esukorede,

Esuyomi,

 Esufunmike,

Esufunmilade,

Esuwemimo,

 Esutoosin,

esutola,

 Esujide,

Esutunde,

Esutunmise,

Esurinde,

Esufunmilayo and so on
Difference between ESU and Satan

Difference between ESU and Satan

Unlike yoruba Esu, satan is a falling angel. Once glorified creature.

He was not born of any human, but uses human to manifest its evil nature.

He is a spirit that no mortal man has ever seen with there naked eye.

It was only jesus as recorded in the bible, and its all happen spiritually.

Yoruba has a name for such being prior to colonization, but not Esu.

Its called Emi ibi (evil spirit), and whoever such a spirit possessed to operate, they call such a person eni ibi or eniyan ibi (evil person).

Esu has the kind of food he do eat and the one he detest, which his devotee must not eat.

Biblical satan is the head of evil principalities, and has controlling power over them, but Esu neither have nor exercise such power.

He is a persuasive Orisa.
